This year, I started a restful calendar to offer practices of relaxation and ease to my community. As I started I had some questions I asked myself:
What would feel like support in the new year and also life in general?
Would people want practices that offered a chance to connect to themselves and quite the outside world for a moment?
What is useful in a time when the world feels heavy, disconnected, challenging, armored?
My answers: REST! YES, duh! Little bite sized mindful and rest practices, often.
So, I created this calendar with short, mindful, relaxing practices to give anyone and everyone an opportunity to connect a little bit and often. Plus, I get to bring my favorite things together, sunsets and relaxation. It's a win!
It has been a really fun, and sometimes challenging practice for me to focus on Rest in a real way this year. And, it's given me exactly what I needed: consistency, a little bit of effort and direction, and a way to express my dharma.

Each calendar is sent out at the beginning of each month. There is sometimes a theme for the month and about three to four practices a week. I include one new Yoga Nidra practice each month, plus aditional practices like breath work, movement, and meditations to support a balanced and realxed bodymind.
